Library Media Center

Find great reads, great resources (both print and digital), a great space to work and collaborate, and help with reading, research, technology, and more!

The EMS Media Center is open during the school day, but you can browse many resources online all the time!

Procedures

Circulation...

  • Students may check out four books at a time, and keep them for three weeks.
  • There are no fines charged for overdue books or materials. However, after four weeks overdue, a book will be assumed lost and families will be asked to replace it. Additionally, families will be asked to replace irreparably damaged books.

Library Usage...

  • Students may use the library to read, do homework, work with one another, and check-out books.
  • Gum, food, and colored beverages are not permitted. Bottled water with a cap is allowed at the tables and seating area.
  • Productive noise is encouraged, but students who are disruptive or disrespectful to materials or resources will be asked to leave.

Computer Lab Usage...

  • Computer use is intended for school related work only, and procedures follow the Student Internet Guidelines in the Student Handbook.
  • Black and white printing is available to students with permission.
